Large, Open Air Warehouse
Once again, 1 Day Coatings is hard at work installing another beautiful floor coating system. This time, we are installing our premier Vinyl Chip System in Tarrant County. Our client is the owner of a newly developed warehouse and selected our product to protect their floors for years to come.
Despite the large space, our crews were able to get in, prep our work space and install our quality 1 Day Coatings system in just one day.
Color of Vinyl Chips: Slate Stone
For this particular job, our client selected the Slate Stone color from our pre-assorted color options. This is a beautiful gray finish that blends grays, blacks and whites to create a stunning layout for garages or any floor space.

Fresh Concrete – Sanding Things Down
As with any new 1 Day Coatings installation, half the effort involves “prepping” our work space prior to the actual application. As you can see from the images above, our crews utilize some commercial sanding equipment to remove the top layer of concrete. This includes dust, rough edges and old material. We remove this top layer of concrete in order to expose the fresh, smooth finish beneath it.
By exposing a fresh layer of concrete, we are creating a layer that bonds to our Polyurea Base Coat. In layman terms, our Polyurea Base Coat is the “glue” between your freshly exposed concrete and our Vinyl Chip Flakes. This is a crucial step in our installation process; therefore, we take the necessary time to properly prep our space for a successful installation.
Digging and Setting Our Drainage Trench
For those who are new here, 1 Day Coatings is a subsidiary of our Advocate Construction division. Under the guidance of Nathan Moore (our owner) we installed a set of channel drains inside this warehouse space. These drains are formed out of concrete and collect our water to help with moisture control and water removal.
This is a small step but speaks volumes about our desire and ability to get the job done right. We have the ability to construct new garages, repair foundations, create drainage systems and much more. All of this is so we can deliver exceptional value to our clients and provide a “one stop shop” for all of our clients needs.
